Organized by the Chinese Education and Culture Society of Canada In partnership with the Department of Chinese Studies, York University Co-sponsored by the Chinese Consulate General in Toronto, Han Ban China, Public School Boards & Catholic School Boards, Independent schools.
The Chinese Consulate General is hosting a cocktail reception at the conference in celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

Purpose: To enhance professionalism among Chinese teachers through communicating, sharing, and together to facilitate and improve the teaching and learning skills.
Content: A full day of symposia and workshops that address issues of Chinese education by plenary speakers from Universities in China

Discussion topics include:
-) Research studies related to new theories in methodology & practice
-) Chinese language studies in the context of pronunciation, grammar, similarities and differences between “PuTonHua” and other language
-) Cultural studies in Chinese language
-) Integration of multimedia technology and resources to enhance teaching effectiveness

Participants: All teachers of the Chinese education including the IL-E and Credit Mandarin and Cantonese instructors from any school boards or private institutes, and teachers of Chinese Studies at universities or colleges are invited to participate.
Participants are welcome to submit publications of recent research, no later than August 25, 2009 to info@ccesc.ca, if interested.
