追梦中文，不负韶华 Fly High with Chinese

III. 比赛目的 Purposes
1. 为青少年提供学习中文、提升语言能力的舞台；搭建相互学习、交流经验的平台。
To offer a platform for young people to learn the Chinese language and enhance their language skills; to facilitate mutual learning and experience exchange.
2. 激发学生学习中文的兴趣，推动中文推广与对中华文化的理解。
To inspire students’ interest in learning Chinese and to foster an appreciation for Chinese culture.
3. 促进加拿大中文教学与学习的发展。
To promote Chinese language teaching and learning in Canada.

IV. 比赛项目 Competition Items
1. 中文演讲 Speech in Standard Chinese (Mandarin): 70%
Focusing on participants’ integrated knowledge of Chinese language skills
2. 中华文化技能 Talent Show of Chinese Cultural Skills: 30%
Performance of a Chinese song, musical instrument(s), dance, opera, acrobatics, calligraphy, painting, paper cutting, Kung Fu, and more.

V. 选手要求 Contestant Requirements
1. 加拿大国籍，在中国境外成长，本人及父母母语非中文，年龄12-18岁。上届全球决赛选手原则上不可连续两届参加比赛。
Secondary school students with Canadian citizenship, who grew up outside of China, with neither Chinese being the native language of the contestants nor of their parents, aged between 12 and 18. As a general rule, finalists from the previous Global Finals may not participate in the competition for two consecutive years.
2. 初赛者由各教育局、私立学校及相关机构选拔。
School Boards, private schools, and related institutions select preliminary candidates.

VI. 比赛日期 Competition Schedule
1. 初赛 Preliminary contest: 2026年3月1日至4月16日 March 1-April 16, 2026
2. 决赛 Final contest: 2026年4月19日 April 19, 2026

VII. 获奖名额 Number of Awards
一等奖1名，二等奖2名，三等奖3名,优秀奖若干
One first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and several merit awards

VIII. 评委成员 A Panel of Judges
评委从中文教师及其他专业人士中选出。
Judges are selected from among Chinese teachers and other professionals.
